Committee advances a package of local governance bills; multiple measures pass by voice vote

The Senate City, County & Local Affairs Committee considered and advanced a series of bills affecting municipal finance, public safety, alcohol regulation and local government operations.

Many of these items drew limited questioning, while several prompted targeted discussion: water‑system stakeholders and ANRC were cited in the Act 605 revisions; fire service stakeholders asked for better outreach on board consolidation; and several alcohol bills raised implementation and enforcement questions for ABC.
