John Brainville, a resident, asked the board to schedule a conditional‑use hearing for the Samuel Acres property at 255 White Church Road after a prospective buyer proposed changing a storage building to light manufacturing use.
The board set the hearing for May 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the township office, after the applicant and his representative described the planned operations and logistics. "For trucks, probably 5 to 10 trucks a week," Jeff Fortuna, a representative for the prospective operator, said when explaining expected traffic.
The applicant, described by Brainville as an agricultural‑product manufacturer, said the company would not use all 26 acres and that operations would largely fit within the existing building. The board discussed legal notice requirements and advertising: the township must run two consecutive notices in the local paper and post the property to notify adjacent landowners before holding the public hearing.
Neighbors or interested parties who want to comment will be able to do so at the May 30 hearing; the planning commission will also review the application as part of the public record. The board’s action was limited to scheduling the hearing; no permit or conditional‑use approval was granted at the meeting.
