Treasure County commissioners adopted a set of organizational resolutions and approved modest funding adjustments for local programs during the meeting.
Resolution 13 established the county’s meeting days as the first and third Tuesdays; Resolution 14 confirmed the posting locations for county notices (courthouse, Stockman Bank, U.S. Postal Service lobby, Friendly Corner and the county community Facebook page); and Resolution 15 set county office hours at 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each regular business day. All three resolutions were moved, seconded and passed by voice vote.
Resolution 16 set per-diem and travel reimbursement rates for the fiscal year, adopting breakfast at $16, lunch at $19 and dinner at $28, with the state lodging rate at $110 and the IRS mileage rate at $0.70 per mile. Commissioners discussed the increases and recorded approval by voice vote.
On justice-related fees, the board approved maintaining a $100-per-day credit against fines for days served in local custody, with speakers noting that county incarceration costs can exceed the credit but that the policy is intended to provide a consistent local practice.
The board also approved additional local funding for a community-based wellness program. Staff reported $1,200 in one-time grant funding already received for the program and outlined potential additional reimbursements; the board moved to add $150 per month to the instructor’s stipend from county funds to support ongoing classes, and the motion passed with a second and aye votes.
The meeting closed after these votes; staff will incorporate the adopted rates and policy changes into county records and continue administering the local wellness funding as directed.
