Board approves policies, calendars and an amendment to the Achievement & Integration Plan

The Stillwater Area Public Schools board approved several routine but consequential items Monday evening.

Policy 802: The board completed a second reading and approved Policy 802 on disposition of obsolete equipment and materials; the presenter said the policy includes statutory requirements for the district.

Meeting calendar and start time: Directors voted to change the regular board meeting start time from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and approved the board meeting calendar and the proposed 2026–27 school year calendar after motions and seconds.

Achievement and Integration Plan amendment: Staff presented an amendment to the district Achievement and Integration Plan to address Brookview’s designation as a racially identifiable school. The board moved, seconded and approved the amendment; district staff will develop a full three‑year plan in 2026.

Consent agenda and agenda: Earlier in the meeting the board approved the meeting agenda and the consent agenda by voice vote.
