Board approves graduation policy updates and authorizes administrator contract extensions

At the meeting, the board conducted several action items and votes.

The board approved amendments to policy IKF (graduation requirements) on second read. Anne, who made the motion, said the changes were intended "to better outline the expectations for graduation ceremonies for our students, and to reflect what is needed to support our students with IEPs and extended study students." The motion was seconded and the board voted unanimously to adopt the policy as presented.

The board then authorized the superintendent to execute extensions of employment contracts for district and building administrators. The administration explained that state law and the district’s leadership appraisal plan require annual evaluations for administrators completing their first two years in a role and a three‑year cycle thereafter; an asterisk in the packet denotes administrators completing that initial two‑year period. The motion to authorize contract extensions was moved, seconded, and approved unanimously.
