Utah Senate honors former Salt Lake City mayor Ted Wilson with citation

The Utah Senate presented an official citation on Nov. 15 honoring former Salt Lake City Mayor Ted Wilson for his long public career and contributions to the state. The citation, read in the chamber, credited Wilson's leadership during his mayoral tenure and noted his work on projects including airport reconstruction, water-system modernization and service at the Hinckley Institute of Politics.

Senator Louis Escamilla introduced the citation and invited Wilson and family members to the chamber. Multiple senators offered tributes, with Senator Stevenson calling Wilson "an example to, I think, all of us in this state" and other members praising his statesmanship and community leadership. The citation was signed in the record by President J. Stewart Adams and Senator Louis Escamilla.
