Senate consents to multiple gubernatorial appointments, including new executive director for Department of Government Operations

The Utah Senate on May 17 consented to a slate of gubernatorial appointments transmitted by the governor, including Marvin Dodge as executive director of the Utah Department of Government Operations.

Committee chairs reported favorable recommendations for many nominees and the Senate recorded consent to the slate by roll call with the chamber reporting 24–25 "yay" votes (transcript contains an inconsistent tally) and four absences in the subsequent group vote.
