A House communicator told the Senate that the House transmitted several measures for Senate consideration, including a substituted mental-health co-response measure and multiple budget bills.
The House transmitted second substitute House Bill 29, "mental health support and law enforcement co-response," by Representative Andrew Stoddard to the Senate for consideration; the presiding officer said the bill will be sent to the Senate rules committee. The House also passed and transmitted several Senate budget bills: Senate Bill 1 (public education–based budget amendments, Sen. Fillmore), Senate Bill 5 (natural resources, agriculture and environmental quality–based budget, Sen. Bridal), Senate Bill 6 (executive offices and criminal justice–based budget, Sen. Owens) and Senate Bill 7 (social services–based budget, Sen. Andrick). The speaker signed those measures and transmitted them to the president for enrollment.
Separately, the House substituted and passed the fourth substitute of Senate Bill 16 (transgender medical treatments and procedures amendments, Sen. Kennedy) and transmitted it back to the Senate; the presiding officer placed that bill on the concurrence calendar. He explained that during the first 43 days of the session, bills assigned to the concurrence calendar will sit overnight and be taken up the following day.
No committee referrals, amendments made in the Senate, or Senate votes on these specific bills were recorded in the transcript.
