Senate advances a broad slate of bills on second-reading calendar; many pass under suspension

After the Committee of the Whole and the judiciary address, the Senate proceeded through its second-reading calendar and adopted numerous bills under suspension of the rules. The Rules Committee report assigned many bills to standing committees; several were lifted for floor action and passage.

- Senate Bill 17 (Grazing Advisory Board name change and sunset extension) — passed, 26-0-3 absent; will be sent to the House.

- Senate Bill 18 (election technical corrections) — passed under suspension (recorded ~26 ayes); sent to the House.

- Senate Bill 23 (acupuncturist liability/charity-care protections) — passed, recorded 27-0-2 absent.

- Senate Bill 31 (water-rights proof adjustments: 660-foot allowance for point of diversion) — passed, 27-0-2 absent.
