Utah Senate clears wide range of bills on concurrence, consent and third‑reading calendars; honors Hill AFB families

The Utah Senate used its day 37 floor session to clear a long list of committee recommendations and individual measures, recognize military families from Hill Air Force Base and handle procedural business ahead of the final weeks of the 60th Legislature.

Floor leaders presented standing committee reports and the Senate approved those reports and placed the listed bills onto the second‑reading calendar. The chamber then moved through the concurrence and consent calendars, taking recorded votes on a series of measures.

Ceremony

Senators invited military families from Hill Air Force Base to the front of the chamber; the reading clerk read an official Utah Legislature citation honoring airmen, guardians, Department of Defense civilians and their families and encouraging Utahns to express gratitude for their service.

Procedure and next steps

Several measures were sent back to the House for final steps. The Senate recessed until 2 p.m. after announcements from caucus leaders and an invitation from Senator Kitchen encouraging senators to support a State Capitol blood drive.
