During its administrative session the Stratford Zoning Commission approved a number of staff‑recommended administrative items and standard conditions across multiple projects.
Key administrative actions included: conditional approval for the 225 Lordship Boulevard site and related erosion and sediment control permits (with standard conditions and MS4 compliance requirements); approval of a coastal site‑plan review and erosion‑control measures for a 30,000‑square‑foot warehouse and wetlands remediation at 815 Woodend Road, with DEEP standard conditions and required siltation/erosion controls in place before site work; and approval of standard erosion and sediment control applications tied to those approvals. Commissioners applauded the Woodend proposal as an improvement over a long‑standing blighted site and noted the creation of an expanded restored wetland as part of the plan.
The commission tabled the Sniffins Lane marina proposal pending a required Board of Zoning Appeals variance and DEEP follow‑up (the applicant had asked to continue the hearing until the April meeting). Several motions directed applicants to submit revised plans and technical reports in advance of the next meeting so department reviewers (engineering, fire marshal, WPCA) can provide timely comments.
The meeting closed with scheduling: the commission confirmed its next regular public hearing meeting for Wednesday, April 24 and adjourned.
