The Rules Committee on Jan. 24 voted to recommend Andrea Crawford and Timothy Matthews for two seats on the Citizens General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee. The motion to forward the appointments to the full Board of Supervisors passed by roll call, with no recorded objections.
Andrea Crawford outlined her experience as a San Francisco resident and small-business owner who does grant writing and fund development for nonprofits and government agencies. She said she wants to learn more about how large capital projects are executed and to help translate bond reports into accessible materials for the public.
Timothy Matthews described his background in labor organizations and prior service on the bond oversight committee, including liaison roles to transportation and housing bond programs and attention to apprenticeship and local workforce development. A public caller, Kate McGee, spoke in support of Crawford, praising her fiscal and communication skills.
The committee's recommendation moves the two nominees to the full Board for confirmation.
