Rules Committee reappoints and forwards nominees to Children, Youth and Their Families Advisory Committee

On Dec. 6 the Rules Committee moved to reappoint and forward nominees to the Children's, Youth and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee.

Applicants described experience in youth workforce development, DCYF coordination, pandemic-response community hubs, and advocacy for language access and racial equity. Jennifer Solerino emphasized workforce and wraparound approaches for youth and families; Julie Roberts Fung highlighted coordinating data, planning and supports for underserved neighborhoods and the need for language access and equity in service delivery.

Chair Peskin moved to have Jada Curry succeed herself in Seat 7, shift a reapplying member to Seat 8 per applicant preference, and appoint Solerino to Seat 11. The roll call passed without objection. The committee adjourned afterward.
