The Rules Committee on March 14 voted to forward two reappointments to the Citizens Committee on Community Development with positive recommendations to the full Board of Supervisors.
Clerk Victor Young read item 4, which covers two appointments to terms ending Feb. 23, 2023. Applicants Azalea (Veil) Renfield (seat 1) and Glenn Loughman (seat 2) each spoke briefly about their service on the committee and the ongoing work on HUD funding recommendations.
Veil Renfield said she has served on the committee since 2018 and expressed appreciation for the work ahead. “It’s been such an honor to serve on this committee since 2018,” Renfield said. Glenn Loughman similarly renewed his commitment to community and economic development amid the challenges of the pandemic.
Brian Chu of the Mayor’s Office of Community Development told the committee the applicants have been committed members and recommended their reappointment. The committee recorded unanimous ‘Aye’ votes from Walton, Mandelman and Peskin and forwarded both names to the full Board with positive recommendations.
No public commenters spoke on this item by the time the clerk closed public comment, and the committee adjourned shortly after completing the vote.
