Rules Committee forwards Aaron Yen to full Board for Children, Youth and Families oversight seat

The Rules Committee considered one applicant for seat 10 on the Children, Youth and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee. Aaron Yen introduced himself to the committee as the chief equity officer for the COVID-19 task force and said his professional background is in child and adolescent development and youth services in San Francisco.

Committee members had no questions. Public comment was opened for the item; staff reported no in-room or remote speakers. Chair Aaron Peskin noted Yen’s resume and community involvement (including work at the OMI Excelsior Beacon Center YMCA and youth baseball activities) and moved to send Yen to the full Board with a recommendation.

Clerk Victor Young called the roll; Supervisors Connie Chan, Rafael Mandelmann and Chair Aaron Peskin each voted aye. The committee recommended Mr. Yen to the full Board for final action and adjourned.
