The Rules Committee voted to recommend the reappointment of three nominees to the Treasury Oversight Committee after amending committee motions to remove erroneous 'rejecting' language.
Clerk Victor Young read items 3–5, each a reappointment by Treasurer/Tax Collector Jose Cisneros: Ben Rosenfield, Megan Wallace and Nancy Hom for terms ending June 17, 2026. Megan Wallace, chief financial officer of the San Francisco Unified School District, and Nancy Hom, deputy chief financial officer at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, each spoke briefly about their finance experience and public-service qualifications. Ben Rosenfield indicated he was willing to continue serving but was not available in chambers to speak.
Public commenter David Pilpel called in to support all three appointees but raised clerical issues in the committee packet, including seat numbering and a misspelling of Megan Wallace’s first name. The chair noted the resolution spells Wallace’s name correctly and moved to amend all three motions to remove the word 'rejecting' so the motions would read 'approving.' The roll call showed unanimous support and the committee then voted to forward all three nominations to the full Board with a positive recommendation.
Next steps: The nominations will be placed before the full Board with the committee’s recommendation for confirmation.
