The Rules Committee of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously recommended two treasurer-nominated reappointments to the full Board on Oct. 2.
Brenda Queen McNulty, renominated to seat 7, told the committee she holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, an MBA focused on finance and more than 33 years in financial services, including work on municipal financings and bond portfolios. Amy Brown, renominated to seat 6, described roughly 30 years advising state and local financings, service as financial advisor to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and leadership of a locally based, women-owned LBE firm.
Chair Supervisor Matt Dorsey moved to remove the word “reject” where it appeared in the draft motions and send both nominations to the full Board as amended. Vice Chair Shamann Walton and Supervisor Ahsha Safaí recorded aye votes in the roll call; the motion passed without objection. The committee did not receive any public comment on these nominations.
The nominations were submitted by Treasurer Jose Cisneros and, if confirmed by the Board, both appointments carry terms ending Sept. 30, 2027. The committee noted the ordinance requirement that public members have expertise in public finance and be economically diverse and bipartisan in registration.
The full Board is scheduled to consider these nominations at its Oct. 17 meeting.
