Committee forwards two liquor-license transfers and continues community-policing ordinance

The applicant, Cheryl Maloney, joined by Teams and explained the business model; the committee voted to forward the transfer to the full Board with a positive recommendation.

Separately, the committee discussed Item 5, an ordinance requiring SFPD to prepare district community‑policing plans that prioritize foot and bike patrols and community engagement. Supervisors described amendments that allow deployment flexibility subject to budget/staffing provisions, include language on continuity during captain transitions, and add a community accountability process. The committee adopted the non‑substantive amendments and continued Item 5 to the May 26 PSNS meeting for final drafting.
