Committee continues Transbay Block 4 land-disposition and SFMTA pedestrian-access hearing to October dates

Planning staff and the successor agency (OCII) asked the committee to continue Items 6–8—general-plan and zoning amendments for Transbay Block 4 plus a land-disposition and ground-lease resolution—so staff can resolve financing and 90-day noticing issues with the developer and OCII. Planning staff said OCII and the drafting team are working with the city attorney and expect to return with options, and OCII representatives apologized for the late request and said they need time to address outstanding financing issues.

The committee continued Items 6–8 to Oct. 3 to allow staff and counsel to resolve the 90‑day timing and drafting questions. Separately, the committee continued a hearing on an SFMTA report to promote unobstructed pedestrian access for boarding transi t (bus-stop guidelines and infrastructure changes) to Oct. 17; public callers requested that SFMTA post the bus-stop guidelines and provide clearer linkage to other transit planning efforts.

The continuances were procedural: the committee did not take final action on Transbay land disposition or the ground lease and requested that staff return with corrected materials.
