Committee endorses $200,000 in‑kind design donation for Fillmore Turf Park renovation

The Budget & Finance Committee unanimously advanced a resolution on Sept. 22 to accept an in‑kind donation of design services worth up to $200,000 from TS Studio for the Fillmore Turf Park renovation. Abigail Mayer of the Recreation and Park Department described the 10,000‑square‑foot mini‑park in the Western Addition and said the donation covers design work, improved drainage, seating and landscape upgrades.

Mayer said community partners included New Community Leadership Foundation and San Francisco Beautiful, and that the project resulted from a community design process and a Community Opportunity Fund grant under the 2012 clean and safe neighborhood parks bond. There were no public callers on the item. The committee moved the item to the full Board with a positive recommendation.
