Separately, Jeremy Schwartz of the Office of Cannabis described a $1 million award from the Board of State and Community Corrections under Proposition 64 to fund public health and safety activities related to adult‑use cannabis through Oct. 31, 2024, including an education campaign and one grant‑funded senior administrative analyst position. The committee advanced the item to the full Board with a positive recommendation.
