Budget & Finance Committee forwards several grant and property items to full Board; votes at a glance

The San Francisco Budget & Finance Committee on Oct. 27 moved a number of routine but budgetary items to the full Board with positive recommendations. Key actions taken by the committee (all forwarded to the full Board with recorded roll-call votes in favor) included:

- Item 2: A retroactive resolution approving the Mayor's Youth Employment and Education grant agreement and two amendments between the Japanese Community Youth Council and the City and County of San Francisco (Department of Children, Youth and Their Families). Term: 07/01/2018'06/30/2024; transcript-listed not-to-exceed amount: approximately $39,600,000. Brett Connor (DCYF) said the version before the committee incorporated committee and BLA feedback.

- Item 4: A retroactive acceptance of a $2,500,000 Mental Health Student Services Act grant for school-based mental health services (Department of Public Health); projects include mobile crisis response for middle schools, school social workers and system navigators, Third Street clinic positions, and support for Life Learning Academy. DPH asked for acceptance so work can proceed.

- Item 5: Authorization for the SFPUC general manager or the city's director of property to sell certain real property parcels located along State Route 84 and Interstate 680 in Alameda County to Caltrans and the Alameda County Transportation Commission; PUC staff described 21 parcels ranging from 400 sq ft to just under 3 acres.

- Item 6: Retroactive acceptance and expansion of Prop 68 Recreational Infrastructure Revenue Enhancement grants for the Crocker Amazon Playfields and Lake Merced Trail improvement projects (combined $1,634,540); the grant contract requires project completion and property maintenance for the grant period and recorded restrictions as a condition of state funding.

All four items were taken without extended public discussion and were forwarded to the full Board for final action.
