At its hybrid meeting the Budget & Finance Committee voted to forward a set of ordinances, resolutions and grant amendments to the full Board of Supervisors with positive recommendations. Key committee actions included:
• Item 1 — Ordinance to appropriate $554,000 from the General Reserve to SFMTA for free parking in Portsmouth Square Garage and limited free Muni days during Lunar New Year; committee forwarded with a roll‑call showing three ayes on the committee. BLA had advised that the general reserve must be replenished by a like amount in a later budget year.
• Item 2 — Resolution retroactively accepting in‑kind consulting services valued at approximately $1.4M for the Civic Bridge program (Dept. of Technology); forwarded with positive recommendation.
• Item 9 — Resolution retroactively accepting in‑kind consulting services from Tipping Point Community valued at up to $67,500 to support HSH’s SIP hotel wind‑down and rehousing; HSH reported more than 950 guests housed to date and the committee forwarded the resolution with a positive recommendation.
Other items (3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) were also forwarded; the committee recorded votes on each and noted BLA reports or recommendations where applicable. Where a committee vote recorded only committee chair and one member as named ayes, the clerk recorded the acknowledged tally (for example, two ayes with Vice Chair Safaei excused). Each forwarded item will appear on the Board of Supervisors agenda for full consideration.
