Votes at a glance: committee forwards multiple grant and contract items to full Board (May 11, 2022)

At its May 11 meeting the Budget & Finance Committee took final committee actions on a number of items and sent most with positive recommendations to the full Board. Key approvals and actions include:

• Items forwarded with positive recommendation (unanimous committee votes): items 2–4 (DCYF grant amendments, as amended), item 5 (DOJ/BJA reentry-related grant to DCYF), item 6 (DA county resentencing pilot grant), item 7 (OEWD $3.5M state grant for SF Live/API recovery), item 8 (SFO Reprographics lease extension), item 9 (DEM UASI grant increase), item 10 (EMPG ARPA funding), item 11 (SHARES HF equipment grant), item 13–15 (DPH contract amendments), item 17 (Community Forward amendment as amended), and item 19 (reappropriation of $90,000 for District 5 homelessness outreach).

• Items continued for further detail: item 1 (gas-powered landscaping equipment ordinance) was continued to the call of the chair; items 12 (transitional housing acquisition ordinance) was continued to May 25; items 16 and 18 (large DPH contract amendments) were continued to May 18 for more detailed presentations and SFUSD coordination.

Most committee roll calls recorded unanimous 3–0 votes by Vice Chair Safaie, Member Marr and Chair Ronan when applicable. Where the committee amended not-to-exceed amounts (items 2, 3 and 17), the changes were recorded in committee action and the items were forwarded to the full Board for final action.
