Committee unanimously forwards mayor’s interim budget and salary ordinances to full Board

The Board of Supervisors’ Budget and Appropriations Committee on June 10 unanimously voted to forward the mayor’s proposed interim budget and the interim annual salary ordinance to the full Board as committee reports.

Clerk staff read items 1–3 at the start of the special meeting; Risa Sandler of the Controller’s Office described those items as standard interim ordinances that permit city operations to continue while the Board finalizes the next fiscal year budget. After brief public comment and no substantive questions from committee members, Chair Hillary Ronan moved to forward items 2 and 3 with a positive recommendation; the motion was seconded and passed on a 5–0 roll call.

The committee also voted 5–0 to file the hearing on the Shared School Yards presentation so the matter remains on the record for follow-up during the budget process. The committee indicated it will continue to work with SFUSD and the mayor’s office on potential funding restoration ahead of the full Board meeting on June 14.
