Board of Appeals revokes permit for 1825 Broderick, granting appeals 5-0

The San Francisco Board of Appeals voted unanimously on Nov. 2 to grant two appeals and revoke a building permit for 1825 Broderick Street, saying Planning had concluded the permit was issued in error because siding was visible from the street.

Julie Rosenberg, the board's executive director, read Planning’s recommendation: “The planning department is recommending revocation of the permit since the siding is visible from the street and the permit was issued in error.” Rosenberg also said the permit holder had agreed to the department’s recommendation.

The motion to grant the appeals carried on a 5-0 vote. The board recorded Aye votes from Vice President Jose Lopez, Commissioner John Trezvina, Commissioner J. R. Epler and President Rick Swig.

The revocation resolves appeal numbers 22-066 and 22-067 and the board closed that portion of the agenda. No further action or conditions were announced at the meeting.

The revocation was a short, procedural item on a meeting that otherwise included a lengthy jurisdictional dispute later in the agenda.
