The board recognized scholarship recipients and community awardees presented by multiple education groups. Joan Hepperly announced the United Administrators of San Francisco awards (ten $1,500 scholarships). United Educators of San Francisco, the Alliance of Black School Educators, the Association of Chinese Teachers and the Latin American Teachers Association also announced awards, with the Alliance reporting $27,000 in scholarships to 23 students.
Presenters named individual student winners, their schools and post‑graduation plans. Superintendent Matthews and award presenters also honored district staff with RAVE Distinguished Service awards, citing the Student and Family Resource Link’s role during the pandemic and heavy ticket volumes managed by staff.
The recognitions segment emphasized community partnerships and resource support for graduates and highlighted the role of scholarship funds in supporting college access.
The board applauded recipients and thanked community donors and volunteers for sustaining scholarship programs.
