The Citizens General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee voted to adopt an AB 361 resolution allowing the committee to continue meeting remotely because state and city officials still recommend physical‑distancing measures related to the COVID‑19 pandemic.
Committee staff presented a draft resolution that states the committee has considered the circumstances of the state of emergency and finds that in‑person meetings would present imminent safety risks to attendees. The resolution specifies that, for at least the next 30 days, the committee’s meetings will be conducted exclusively by teleconferencing technology and that public‑comment opportunities will remain available by phone and by email.
Vice Chair Matthews moved the measure and a second was recorded; a roll‑call vote followed. Member Crawford, Member Larkin, Vice Chair Matthews, Member Pantoja, Member Post and Member Sanderlin were recorded as voting ‘Aye’ and the motion was approved.
The resolution also directs staff to place a substantially similar item on the agenda of the committee’s next meeting within 30 days so the committee can reassess whether the teleconference finding should continue.
