Bond oversight committee adopts AB 361 resolution to continue remote meetings

The Citizens General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee voted to adopt a resolution under Assembly Bill 361 to continue meeting exclusively by teleconference, citing the ongoing state and city COVID-19 emergencies and public-health guidance. The committee recorded ayes from the five members present and approved the resolution.

The resolution says state and city officials continue to recommend measures that promote physical distancing and that conducting in-person meetings would present "imminent risk to the safety of attendees," and therefore the committee will meet by teleconferencing technology for at least 30 days and provide public-comment opportunities by phone and email. Committee staff were directed to place a substantially similar resolution on the agenda of the next meeting within 30 days.

Vice Chair Matthews opened the vote after staff closed public comment, and roll-call votes showed Members Crawford, Larkin, Post and Sanderlin voting yes and Chair McHugh and Member Pantoja absent. The committee noted that teleconference procedures—including a public dial‑in and an email address for comments (cgobo.committee@sfgov.org)—remain in effect.

The committee did not take additional action on the resolution beyond adoption; staff will return a substantially similar item to the next meeting schedule if necessary.
