At the commission meeting Oct. 18, Executive Director Kozlowski reported that Block 9 in Mission Bay — a 141‑unit affordable supportive housing project — completed construction and initial move‑ins have begun.
Kozlowski credited OCII staff and the developer (Bridge and HomeRise) for delivering furnished units and move‑in assistance for households transitioning from navigation sites and shelter‑in‑place hotels. "This is a 141 units of affordable supportive housing for formerly homeless adults," Kozlowski said, noting move ins will continue through the fall and that staff expect the project to be fully leased by year end.
In personnel news, the commission heard from Deputy Director for Finance (transcript: Bree Mahorder) that she will resign to join the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency in November. She thanked commissioners and staff; Rosa Torres, a 17‑year OCII employee, was introduced as acting deputy director for finance during the transition. Commissioners thanked both for their service and wished them well.
