San Francisco — At the Jan. 24 meeting the Fire Commission reviewed historical accounting for the Wellman Trust Fund and elected new officers.
Commission President Steven Acasio briefed commissioners on efforts to reconcile $146,500 previously disbursed to the Guardians of the City (GOTC) for the 150th anniversary; he said remaining records showed a $6,000 discrepancy that staff research indicates was used to remove antique rigs from Treasure Island. Acasio said the commission will keep the item as a carryover while staff obtains a clearer spreadsheet and accounting documentation.
On nominations, Commissioner Marcy Frazier nominated Vice President Armee Morgan for commission president; Morgan accepted, and the motion passed unanimously. Feinstein nominated Marcy Frazier to serve as vice president; that motion likewise passed unanimously. No public comment was received on the nominations.
The commission adjourned after acknowledging the commission secretary for her support.
