San Francisco — The Fire Commission voted unanimously at its March meeting to accept an in‑kind donation of consulting services from Adobe Inc. valued at $149,760 to support the Fire Department’s EMS and Community Paramedicine measurement and reporting work through the mayor’s Civic Bridge program.
Mark Corso, finance and planning, described the scope as advisory and analytic support to help measure program findings, determine improvements and meet state reporting requirements. "This is an in kind donation of consulting services from Adobe valued in the amount of $149,760," he told the commission.
Commissioners asked how departments join Civic Bridge projects and how private partners are identified. Corso said the Mayor’s Office of Innovation coordinates Civic Bridge outreach, there is an application and vetting process and the deputy city attorney reviews any data‑sharing agreements.
Vote and next steps: Commissioners moved and seconded the motion to accept the gift, took public comment (none) and approved the resolution unanimously. Staff said the project is anticipated to run through June and committed to provide an update to the commission on the results.
Why it matters: the donation provides the EMS division dedicated consulting capacity to analyze program metrics and streamline reporting at no direct cost to the department. The department will still be responsible for any formal data‑sharing agreements and for reporting outcomes to the commission.
What remains unanswered: commissioners requested clarity on deliverables and schedule; the record shows a planned update at the commission’s meeting after project completion.
