Ethics commission unanimously votes to move regular meetings to 10 a.m.

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Ethics Commission voted to amend its bylaws to move the regular meeting start time from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with commissioners saying a later start will allow more members of the public to attend.

Commissioner Busch said the 10:00 a.m. start "is more user friendly" and would make it easier for people who have to get to work or school to participate. Commissioner Chu moved the change and Commissioner Romano seconded. The moderator announced four affirmative votes and no opposition.

Chair Lee and other commissioners noted staff will monitor room availability and that meeting times can be adjusted with appropriate notice to accommodate public participation. The revised start time takes effect immediately for the commission's regular calendar; staff was asked to explore later meeting blocks and continuing hybrid access for those who cannot attend in person.
