Commission approves consent permits, Le Petit Paris place-of-entertainment permit and Chambers’ New Year’s Eve extension; reauthorizes teleconference meetings

The San Francisco Entertainment Commission voted unanimously on several permit actions and a procedural resolution during its remote meeting.

Consent agenda: Staff recommended and commissioners approved limited live-performance permits for Vic's Winehouse and El Farolito and a billiard-parlor permit for Carl's Beacon with the Good Neighbor Policy.

Le Petit Paris (515 Broadway): Owner Liam (Liam Camille Hellish) described his French lounge concept, capacity under 50, ceiling-mounted speakers and a small amplifier for live music. Staff presented outreach materials and signatures of neighborhood support; Central Station approved with no added conditions. Commissioners voted unanimously to grant the place-of-entertainment permit with staff conditions.

Chambers at the Phoenix Hotel (601 Eddy): Chambers and event promoter Carrie Kopp requested an amendment to the site's jam permit to host the "Mighty Real" New Year's Eve party featuring DJ David Harness, extending outdoor entertainment to 1 a.m. (Dec. 30 midnight–Jan. 1 early hours). Staff noted outreach, a security plan with 10 guards, and no opposition; Tenderloin Station raised no concerns within the response window. Commission approved the amendment with the Good Neighbor Policy by unanimous vote.

Teleconference resolution: The commission adopted findings under California Government Code section 54953 to allow teleconference meetings for the month, noting the requirement to reauthorize the findings at least monthly while the local emergency continues.
