San Francisco LAFCO adopts teleconference findings, approves minutes and appoints two public members

The San Francisco Local Agency Formation Commission on Feb. 18 adopted findings allowing remote meetings under California Government Code section 54953(e), approved its Jan. 21 minutes and appointed two public members by roll call votes.

Chair Connie Chan opened Item 2 (the teleconference findings) and moved to adopt the findings establishing the legal basis for continued remote participation. After public comment was called and no callers were on the queue, the commission approved the motion by roll call. The clerk recorded three ayes and Chair Chan stated, "This motion is unanimously approved."

On Item 3 the commission approved the LAFCO minutes from Jan. 21, 2022. Commissioners moved and seconded the motion and the clerk recorded three ayes on the roll call.

Item 5, the appointment of two public‑member seats, proceeded after introductions and brief remarks from the applicants. The commission voted to appoint Jackie Fielder to the public member seat (Seat 6) and to appoint Chanti Singh to the alternate public member seat; both motions passed by roll call with the vote recorded as three ayes.

No substantive action was taken on several informational items, including Clean Power SF's presentation (Item 4) and the executive officer's reinvestment working‑group updates (Item 6); related public comments were heard on those items. The meeting closed with general public comment and a request to add discussion of transmission‑access charges to a future agenda.
