LAFCO adopts resolution commending Commissioner Gordon Marr for climate and labor leadership

The San Francisco Local Agency Formation Commission on a 4–0 roll-call vote approved a resolution honoring Commissioner Gordon Marr for his service and leadership on climate, labor and clean-energy issues.

Chair Connie Chan introduced the resolution and highlighted Marr’s work on decarbonizing residential buildings and support for the gig-worker study. Commissioners Hope Williams, Vice Chair Jackie Fielder, Dean Preston and Shanti Singh each spoke in praise, citing Marr’s role in the Climate Action Plan, the gig-worker report, and the expansion of Clean Power SF oversight.

Commissioner Marr, who spoke in turn, described his time on LAFCO as "one of the more interesting and, I'd say, drama free" periods of his civic work and thanked colleagues for their support. Public commenter Eric Brooks also praised Marr’s contributions and urged LAFCO to keep advancing the public-bank and clean-energy agenda.

The clerk called the roll and recorded four ayes (Fielder, Marr, Williams and Chan); the chair announced the resolution approved. The commission held brief public comment on the matter before the vote and adjourned later in the meeting.
