Board approves August minutes and unanimously cancels October meeting

The San Francisco Health Service System board approved the minutes of its Aug. 12, 2021, regular meeting and unanimously voted to cancel its October 2021 regular meeting.

During the meeting the board opened agenda item 3 to approve the August minutes; a board member “moved that we accept the minutes as distributed” and another board member seconded. The board then opened the item for corrections; none were offered and the minutes were approved by voice vote.

Separately, under agenda item 6 staff asked the board to consider cancelling the October meeting because it coincides with open enrollment. A board member moved to cancel the October 2021 Health Service Board meeting and another member seconded. The chair called for the voice vote and the motion “carried unanimously.”

These votes were routine procedural actions recorded on the meeting record; no amendments or conditions were attached. The board will resume its regular schedule after the open-enrollment period and reconvene in November as noted during the meeting.

Ending: The meeting proceeded to discussion and presentations after those procedural items, and no further formal votes were taken during the session.
