Vice President Howe convened the San Francisco Health Service Board and presented a 30-day renewal of the resolution allowing teleconference meetings under California Government Code section 54953(e). “Well, this is the 30 day renewal of the resolution to continue allowing tele conferencing for, commission meetings for the next 30 days,” Howe said.
Commissioner Canning moved to approve the resolution “as incorporated within the agenda,” and the motion was seconded. The board opened the item for public comment; no callers or in-person speakers addressed the matter. The board then took a roll-call vote and approved the renewal unanimously.
The board also approved the minutes of the June 9, 2022 meeting after a motion and second, again opening the floor to public comment (no speakers) and adopting the minutes by unanimous roll call. Vice President Howe announced committee assignments for the coming fiscal year: the governance committee to be chaired by Commissioner Follinsbee with President Scott and Commissioner Zavansky as members; the finance and budget committee to be chaired by Commissioner Breslin with Commissioners Canning and Howe as members. The assignments were moved, seconded and approved unanimously by roll call.
Outcomes and next steps: The teleconference authorization was extended for 30 days, the minutes were approved, and committee memberships were set for FY2022–2023. No substantive policy decisions were made beyond these procedural actions.
