Tempe Union board unanimously approves superintendent's contract

The Tempe Union High School District Governing Board unanimously approved a contract for the superintendent during its Dec. 1 meeting.

President Montero moved approval of human-resources item K1; a board member seconded and the board discussed the hire briefly, with several members praising Dr. Wilson's leadership during a transitional period. In her remarks, Dr. Wilson thanked the board and district staff and said she was "grateful for the families, the students and the employees" and committed to prioritizing communication and student-focused decisions.

The board conducted a roll-call vote; members voted in favor and the motion carried. No amendments or conditions were recorded on the floor.

Next steps: The contract was approved and the administration will proceed with implementation in accordance with district human-resources procedures.
