Fenton Board of Adjustment swears in members, approves minutes and adjourns

The City of Fenton Board of Adjustment on Dec. 17 swore in a newly appointed regular member and an alternate, completed roll call establishing quorum, approved minutes from a Sept. 17 workshop and adjourned.

Staff announced the appointment of Susan Phillips Pigg as a regular board member; the record shows the appointee took the oath affirming she meets statutory qualifications and will support the constitutions of the United States and the state of Missouri and the ordinances of the City of Fenton. Staff also identified a new alternate member; the record lists the alternate as 'Alan Loretta' in the appointment announcement and as 'Helen Loretta' during the oath.

Chairperson Siebert called roll and a five‑member quorum was present. City staff on the record included City Attorney Aaron Steele and Community Development Director Amy Stark; Sue Moody served as court reporter.

Later in the meeting a motion to approve the minutes from the Sept. 17 workshop passed on a roll‑call vote with Member Rogers, Member Phillips, Chairperson Siebert, Vice Chairperson Mooney and Susan Phillips Pigg recorded as voting 'aye.' The board then moved and approved a motion to adjourn by unanimous roll call.

No substantive actions on land‑use approvals were taken at this meeting beyond the continuation of the variance petition to Jan. 21, 2025.
