Supervisors amend agenda and approve consent items; zoning matter left to administrative review

At the start of the meeting the Madison County Board of Supervisors approved two routine procedural actions: an amendment to the agenda to allow two speakers to address the board before public hearings, and the consent agenda.

The County Attorney moved to amend the agenda to allow Aaron Hardesty and Brian Horvath to speak early; the motion was seconded and approved on voice vote. Later the board approved the consent agenda after a motion by Diane (first name recorded) and a second by Heather (first name recorded).

Supervisors made clear the zoning issue raised during the public comment period was not being decided at this meeting. The zoning administrator, Ryan Hobart, is conducting the staff review of the permit and ordinance compliance; any administrative ruling can be appealed to the board of adjustment, according to the County Attorney.
