Montgomery County Legislature clears a slate of budget and personnel resolutions

The Montgomery County Legislature on June 24 approved a series of routine resolutions, moving quickly through budget transfers, contract authorizations and personnel items before adopting two late additions to its agenda.

Legislators voted to accept budgetary transfers and the procurement record, and passed a string of resolutions amending the 2025 operating budget. Actions included authorizing an extra work order for Barton Lejudice to update the Local Solid Waste Management Plan, approving an agreement for sludge treatment and disposal with the Gloversville‑Johnstown Joint Wastewater Treatment Facility and establishing temporary and full‑time positions as noted in tonight’s calendar.

Sponsors for the evening’s items were recorded in the meeting as follows: Resolution 152 (revolving loan — Maven Beauty Salon) sponsored by Legislators Kowalczyk and Sweet; Resolution 153 (extra work authorization — Barton Lejudice) sponsored by Legislator Hedwell and PEC; Resolution 155 (wastewater sludge treatment agreement) sponsored by Sweet and Kelly.
