Woodbridge Township Council adopted an ordinance to add a handicap parking space on Michael Court and approved several routine ordinances and consent items during its Feb. 2024 meeting.
Council President Anderson asked that the ordinance amending Chapter 7 to add a handicap parking space on Michael Court be taken up for second and third reading and that a public hearing be opened. After the public hearing was opened for that item only and no members of the public spoke, the council voted to close the hearing and adopt the ordinance "and submit it to the mayor for approval as required by law," Anderson said. The motion carried.
The council also voted to pass three other ordinances (letters b, c and d) on first reading and directed they be published in the Home News Tribune on Friday, Feb. 23, with a public hearing to be held March 5 at 6 p.m. In addition, President Anderson moved approval of items 1 through 33 by consent; that motion likewise passed.
The actions completed routine municipal business: adopting a local traffic-related ordinance, setting notice and hearing dates for first-reading ordinances, and approving a multi-item consent agenda. No ordinance numbers or detailed statutory citations were given on the record for the items described as letters b, c and d.
