Board approves formation of annual County Compensation Board, sets hearings and approves claims

During the April 23 meeting the Yellowstone County Board of County Commissioners moved through several administrative items. The board approved Resolution 24‑74 to mandate the annual formation of the County Compensation Board and adopted Resolution 24‑75 to convene that board and set two public hearings on May 14 and June 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 3108.

The board also approved Resolution 24‑71 of intent to change assessments for the Billings Urban Fire Service Area and set a public hearing for May 28, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in connection with that assessment change. Claims numbered 24‑144, 24‑145 and 24‑146 were approved, and the consent agenda and file items were approved by voice vote.

Commissioner Morris (speaker 2) made the motions to approve the compensation board items; other motions came from speaker 10 for the finance item and claims. All motions passed by voice votes during the meeting.
