Jefferson County commissioners took a series of routine procedural and funding actions during the meeting, voting on memoranda of understanding, grants, certificates and land‑division approvals.
The board approved a memorandum of understanding with IHS (Heritage Healthcare Solution) to transfer medical‑billing work for the jail by training one county employee and installing IHS hardware at no cost; IHS will receive 10% of identified savings. An unidentified commissioner made the motion and another seconded; roll was called and the motion carried.
The board approved a recreational boat/waterways grant of approximately $7,113; the county will provide a 50% match pending verification of matching funds. Commissioners also approved a tax cancellation for parcel RP002570010330 in the amount of $73.45 after the assessor’s office determined a lot in the Blackstone subdivision is a plat‑designated common area.
Other approved items included certificates of residency for students to attend the College of Southern Idaho, College of Western Idaho and College of Eastern Idaho, and a letter of intent to the Westside Soil and Water Conservation District requesting $2,500 of county support to unlock a 2:1 state match under Idaho Code Title 22, Chapter 27.
Planning and zoning staff presented Tranquility Estates Division No.1; commissioners found the submittal satisfied conditions and voted to approve the land division.
The board recessed for an executive session to discuss personnel matters under Idaho Code and returned to open session with no additional actions taken. The meeting then adjourned.
