At the Feb. 20 meeting, Yellowstone County commissioners handled a series of routine procurement and finance items.
Clerk staff opened sealed bids for a Public Works asphalt overlay (Second Street) and for scour repair at Bridge 09-28 on Byam Road (Clarks Fork River). Bids for the asphalt overlay included Riverside Contracting ($1,269,008.19), Askin Construction (~$1,691,450) and Knife River ($1,433,568.25). For the scour repair, bidders included Holden Excavating (~$36,352.36), Winkler Excavating ($79,500.79), Martin Construction ($74,838.64), Weave Construction ($92,490) and Donna's Construction ($97,000). Commissioners moved to refer both bid packages to staff for report back.
The Parks Board recommended $5,000 from park development funds for replacement playground equipment at Cloverleaf Meadows; the commission approved the $5,000 contribution. Commissioners also approved $3,000 from PILT discretionary funds for the same park petition after brief discussion of historic PILT allocations.
The commission set public hearings for expansion of RSID 689M (Saddleback Ridge Estates), RSID 692M (Lupine Subdivision) and RSID 696M (Elk River) for March 5 at 9:30 a.m. Claims numbered 24-103 through 24-105 were approved and the consent agenda was adopted by voice vote. With no further public comment, the commission adjourned.
