Facilities committee reports Douglas Avenue cleanup, board tour and construction contract

Speaker 1 (Unidentified speaker) said the Douglas Avenue renovation is proceeding and that staff and contractors have removed most stored items and cleaned carpets: “Tim and Groove have cleaned it out most of the stuff… Done a good job sleeping, cleaning all the carpets out except for 1 rooms.”

The committee heard that a contractor has been engaged to begin construction work and that trustees will have a site tour during the upcoming board meeting to review the status after the cleanup. Speaker 1 said the tour is expected to provide a clearer sense of progress and that the curators have been organizing collections ahead of the work.
