Board recognizes students and staff across district — Falcons of the Month and staff awards

The Fountain Hills Unified School District board used its district celebrations segment to recognize a range of staff and students. McDowell Mountain presented two Falcons of the Month — staff member Bob Gustafson (recognized for operational support and crossing-guard duties) and kindergarten student Mark Anthony Moraga (praised by his teacher for perseverance and inclusion). Other sites recognized Amanda Baca for athletics and instructional coaching, Javonte McCoyer for academic leadership, Katie Dwyer as a student ambassador and athlete, and Gianna as faculty-of-the-month for contributions to dance and the school’s performing arts.

District operations also recognized Chris Alexander in transportation for his behind-the-scenes work supporting assessment and data consolidation. Speakers noted beautification work at Fountain Hills High School, newly painted hallways, new logos, and renovated gym bathrooms completed over the break.

These recognitions were ceremonial and informational; no board action was taken in this segment.
