County declares substantial completion on facility projects; minor items and security equipment remain

County project manager Rebecca reported that a substantial-completion walkthrough was held and that both projects received substantial completion, with approximately $7,500 withheld to address outstanding items such as glass, millwork edges and a few cosmetic finishes.

Rebecca said the county has ordered a front-door x-ray/security machine that has been delayed by supply-chain issues; staff expect delivery around May and will then finish the millwork associated with the device once law enforcement determines configuration. Some occupants have already started moving items as cabinetry and millwork became available, and staff expect a staged move once furniture arrives.

The board asked if there were any change orders; staff said none at present but that a few last items are in negotiation from earlier work. Commissioners requested a follow-up report on final costs and outstanding items when the county settles final bills.
