The Woodbridge Township Council voted on Jan. 16 to adopt a slate of ordinances taken up on second and third reading and to approve 35 resolutions by consent.
Council took ordinances a and b by consent, amending Chapter 7 of the revised ordinance to establish or adjust handicap parking on Fifth Street and Melbourne Court. The public hearing for those items was opened, no members of the public spoke, and the council closed the hearing and adopted the ordinances for submission to the mayor.
Other adopted ordinances included:
- Ordinance c: conveyance of a drainage easement on Chain Hills Road in Colonial.
- Ordinance d: authorizing a renewal lease agreement with Local 397 for property on Avenel Street.
- Ordinance e: amendments to Chapter 7 regarding solid waste management and fees.
- Ordinance f: adoption of the West Kelly Street Number 2 redevelopment plan.
- Ordinance g: adoption of the Route 1 Area 14 redevelopment plan (the record notes one council member abstained from that item).
- Ordinance h: authorizing public parking arrangements between the town and an urban renewal entity.
Municipal counsel confirmed public hearings were opened for the listed ordinances; no public comments were recorded on any of them, and each was adopted and will be submitted to the mayor as required by law. The council also passed 35 resolutions by consent following a single motion and second.
